Underway with the season...

The season is now well underway for us having had a few runners over the last few weeks. Whisper had a spin round Chepstow at the start of the month, his first run since a break and he should come on for the run. It is great to have a legend like him on the yard who through his career has competed at the highest level, he may be 11 now but he certainly doesn't feel it!

Torhousemuir ran in the handicap chase at Wincanton, he put in another consistent performance jumping well to finish 4th. Unfortunately he has picked up an injury so will now have a good holiday and fingers crossed will be fighting fit again next summer.

Mario De Pail had his second run under rules at Ffos Las last week, he put in a very good performance to finish 2nd. He is a horse that has improved both mentally and physically since last season and one we are very much looking forward to. We will look to find another race for him in a few weeks time.

Mick Manhatten had his first run for us at Exeter earlier in the week, he put in a solid performance to finish 4th in a maiden hurdle, he will now get a handicap mark which should make life a little easier for him.

Ivy's Shadow ran in the competitive mares bumper at Fontwell on Wednesday, she is still very green and will come on for the experience, it shouldn't be long before the penny drops with her.

The horses are all coming out of their races well and are sure to come on for the runs. The round gallop has definitely made getting the horses fit a lot easier, being able to do lots of steady cantering to help build up the stamina and fitness.

The Cannister Man is coming along nicely, he will make his chase debut in the next few weeks, here is a video of him having a practice on the grass.

Royal Magic has had a nice holiday and is now back in just recovering from a wind operation, he will be back in work next week and we are looking forward to getting going with him again this season.
